Always pay attention when others are talking.The points given by others would have to comprehended to be used to iterate some of the points that you want to bring to the table.
Express your points concisely.The point of a group discussion is to discuss as a team and come up with good points.so,speak concisely and give opportunities to others.
Give others a chance to speak .Remember it is important to be a team player.If the group discussion is going in a smooth manner and someone is a bit shy,then you can proactively the person a chance to speak.
Avoid contradicting others views.Remember it is a group discussion and not a debate.The Aim is not to be right all the time.It is about sharing information effectively and work as a team to come up with good points.We can however put in our views in a subtle manner.We neither have to agree all the time nor get into word war.
Don't use vague statistics.Example It is 20% likely and all these stuff.Do not cook up statistics to look wise.It may work if you are luck but it might back fire if it is not your day.However we can give real life examples
Avoid being very dominant as that shows the quality of leader and less of a team player it may be open to interpretation.It is better not to take chances.
